5 Unique Bachelorette Party Destinations for 2024
When you hear bachelorette party, I’ll bet you think of Vegas or the recently popular (and already overdone) Nashville.
If that’s your vibe, AMAZING. Do you, girl. It’s your pre-wedding event.
But what if I told you there’s another way?
Right now there’s a really big trend about what’s In and Out in 2024 and I’m here to tell you, basic bachelorette parties are OUT. My trend prediction re: weddings in 2024 is that a lot of people will start valuing smaller-scale events, having a quality group of friends in the bridal party vs everyone they’ve ever met, and going to destinations that aren’t overcrowded but still have good vibes.
So, this blog is all about my top 5 unique bachelorette destinations that I think most brides will LOVE in 2024.
Let’s get into it.
1. Oklahoma City, OK
Y’all know I had to start here. If you’re new here, I live in OKC. And about half my blog is about things to do in Oklahoma City. So trust me when I say I am an expert in the subject 😏
Oklahoma City is 👏 SLEPT 👏 ON 👏
No matter what your bachelorette party theme is, you can fit the vibe in OKC.
- Cowboy theme? Absolutely ✅
- Disco theme? 100% ✅ (we actually have a bar/nightclub called Groovy’s so like…)
- Barbie? Immediately yes ✅ (I have a whole blog post on Barbie vibes in OKC)
You get the picture. PS if you want suggestions based on a specific theme, send me a message below or DM me on IG.
From great hotel and VRBO options to the wide variety of cuisines, nightlife, breweries, wine tastings, and so many other activities (depending on the weather), OKC has everything you need no matter what requests the bride-to-be has.
It’s also a very cost-effective stay. The average nightly rate for hotels in OKC, for example, is $95 compared to the US average of $148 per night. So, basically, you’re welcome for introducing you to the most budget-friendly vacation you’ll ever have.
2. Savannah, GA
Savannah is such a cute, quaint spot for those girlies who want more of a laid-back bachelorette party. I would say this is a more tame version of New Orleans (also on my list!), with some nightlife available, but not as rowdy as Bourbon Street.
There are historic tours for the history buffs and beautiful views everywhere! If you are having a goth “till death do us part” theme, this is a great location, with Savannah’s many haunted areas and ghost tours.
Savannah is another spot in the affordable-but-cute category, so if that all checks your boxes, book a trip to Savannah, GA!
3. Moab, UT
If you’re an outdoor girly (and so are your friends), I HIGHLY recommend glamping at really any of the Under Canvas locations, but the Moab location is my favorite for an event like this.
There are truly so many activities to choose from – hiking, biking, hot air ballooning, water activities, really anything outdoorsy you could think of.
There are also a few opportunities to steer into the more traditional bachelorette activities. You can tour a winery, visit one of the many local restaurants and bars, and if you choose to stay in the Under Canvas location, your stay will include activities like yoga.
4. New Orleans, LA
I imagine NOLA has been the bachelorette party destination previously, but not in a time that I can remember, so I’m counting this as an underrated destination for bach parties.
NOLA is similar to Savannah in the history + nightlife aspect. New Orleans has a RICH culture rooted in tradition dating back centuries, so if you just think it’s all Mardis Gras and beads, you should take a trip there to learn more!
Bourbon Street is what everyone knows, but unlike The Strip in Vegas, there is more to see than just Bourbon Street. The French Quarter offers restaurants, shops, activities, and historic sites throughout its 13 blocks in the heart of NOLA.
No matter what type of friend group is coming together for this weekend of fun, GO ON A FOOD TOUR. The Food in New Orleans is unbeatable. If you don’t want to shell out the money for an official guided food tour, you can check out this self-guided food tour.
5. Philadelphia, PA
There are so many options in Philadelphia, so it really depends on what your group of friends enjoys, but you can’t go wrong in Philly.
The food scene is unbeatable. Yes, the Philly Cheesesteak is iconic, but Philly is a melting pot of cultures and the food perfectly displays that.
I could (and have) written an entire itinerary for a trip to Philadelphia, but I’ll keep it short and simple.
Here are a few must-sees, non-negotiables when you visit Philadelphia:
- Reading Terminal Market
- Elfreth’s Alley
- Rittenhouse Square
- Magic Gardens
- Cherry Street Pier
Whether you want to steer into the history aspect, the artsy side, the food scene, or anything else, you are sure to find it here. There’s even an old abandoned prison, Eastern State Penitentiary, if your girls like spooky stuff.
I hope this blog gave you some unique bachelorette destination ideas so you can break out of that cycle of meeting your entire friend group in Nashville every time someone gets married!
Nothing wrong with that, but don’t you want to spend your vacation time and money seeing something new?
