The Ultimate Self-Guided Automobile Alley Food Tour
Yall, I love Automobile Alley. And I love food. And I love OKC. So you better believe I love the food in Automobile Alley in OKC 😀
There are SO many options to choose from, it’s hard to pick just one of these incredible restaurants. So I’ve come up with the ULTIMATE self-guided food tour in the Automobile Alley district in Oklahoma City. This food tour will give you a variety of cuisines at some of the best restaurants in OKC (according to my personal opinion).
This tour will take you through several restaurants so be sure to bring a friend, bring your appetite and stretchy pants, or ask for to-go containers because this will involve A LOT of food.
Lucky for you, Auto Alley is one of the most walkable districts in OKC, so you will at least burn a few calories going from place to place.

Stop 1: Coffee and Beignets at Hatch
Let’s start off the tour with some caffeine, shall we?
Hatch has a variety of coffee and tea options (I’m partial to a chai tea latte myself) to fuel your food tour. You also MUST try an order of their beignets. This light and airy appetizer will keep you full until your next location on the tour, while not making you feel too overly stuffed, so it’s the perfect start to the tour!
Hatch is an OKC icon, with 4 locations around the state in operation currently, and at least 6 more on the way.
Stop 2: Nachos and Margs at Iguana Grill
I don’t often throw around the term “life-changing”, but I’m telling you the chalupa nachos from Iguana Grill are life-changing.
They are the perfect balance of everything good about food. I dream about these nachos, I’ve tried to recreate them at home, they are just too good to not order anytime I’m in the area.
Iguana Grill is known for their margaritas, and they have great specials during Happy Hour if you can plan accordingly. I love the spicy mango rita, but any of their house-made margs are an excellent choice.
Stop 3: Sweet Treat at Katie Bugs
You’re not a real OKC local if you haven’t had Katie Bugs. They were also voted number 2 best cookie shop in the COUNTRY so they’re like, kind of a big deal.
They have a rotating menu so I can’t really suggest a specific item to try, but just grab something that sounds good. Everything is amazing and homemade so you won’t be disappointed!
Pro tip: grab something to take home too because I swear once you get a taste for these delicious treats, you will want MORE.
Stop 4: Grab a Brewski at Skydance
While you’re waiting for your food to digest, pop over to one of my favorite breweries in OKC, Skydance!
With a variety of beer styles, good taproom vibes, and a great sense of local community, Skydance is a great place to tie one on during your self-guided OKC food tour.
Their signature beers are amazing. I highly recommend Rez Dog as a very drinkable, neutral style that everyone would enjoy. Their seasonal stuff is incredible so if they have something on tap that piques your interest, definitely try that out! (They also have wine and non-alc drinks for anyone who isn’t a beer fan)
Stop 5: Hashweh at Saj
I had a really hard time picking just one or two things at Saj to suggest because everything there is out of this FREAKIN world.
I love Saj Lebanese Cuisine for so many reasons, and they are not limited to the food. Everyone working there is so friendly and seems to genuinely love what they do (which is shocking for the food industry because my 16-year-old self knows how hard that industry can be). They seem very family-run which is a common aspect of my favorite OKC restaurants.
I would highly recommend ordering their hummus to start, and then for the main course, you can’t go wrong with the hashweh and chicken meal. Again, split this if you’d like. I always end up with leftovers so this could easily be shared.
Stop 6: End the Night at Parlor
You really could do a food tour just inside Parlor, which is a cafeteria-style spot with multiple restaurants and a large bar. For this food tour, I would suggest ending with a nightcap of your choice (might I suggest a Club Special – an OKC delicacy), and a dessert at one of the many culinary concepts. My favorite is the banana pudding from Ray’s Chicken.
