9 Patios in OKC That Are Perfect for Fall Weather
Fall is always “pumpkin spice” this and “apple cider” that. But what we don’t hear enough of is “It’s patio seasonnnnn”. Controversial opinion: I believe Fall is the best patio season. At least here in Oklahoma, that’s the case.
Many restaurants and bars in OKC have figured out that because Oklahoma weather is unpredictable (like seriously, I’ve experienced all 4 seasons in 1 day. no joke), they need to prepare for anything. This means they have heaters, fans, misters, etc. so there are a lot of good options when it comes to patios in OKC.
I picked these particular patios in OKC because they all offer food, drinks, and above all…VIBES.
So let’s get into it.
Parlor
For those that don’t know, Parlor is an upscale food hall with a ton of local restaurants, amazing cocktails, and a ton of space for events and get-togethers. They have 2 main patio areas, one of which is a rooftop patio (my fave) where you can see a really cool view of the city.
They have a ton of events going on like live music, DJs, karaoke, etc. so you can go there multiple times and get a different experience each time. So if you’re an out-of-towner, don’t be afraid to make the stop at Parlor more than once.
District: Automobile Alley
The Pump
The Pump is like if a gas station was run by some punk teenagers and they served drinks and food instead of gas. But like, in a good way.
Don’t let the vintage, rustic vibes fool you though. Their food is seriously SO delish. They have a really great variety of local beers on tap, they’ve always got some sort of featured cocktail (plus the classics), and they have a shot and beer special as well.
District: Uptown
OSO Paseo
This is a newer restaurant in OKC, so if you’re local and haven’t been, I highly recommend checking it out just in general. The food is phenomenal. Fresh ingredients, a wide variety of flavors, and just an overall knock-your-socks-off taste.
Now, the patio at OSO is giving Greek and maybe a little Arizona. Beautifully decorated with blue and white Meditteranean tile, comfy and welcoming furniture, and stucco architecture, it’s enough to transport you to another country. But I promise this is in Oklahoma City, in the heart of the Paseo Arts District.
Check it out during the fall to capitalize on some cooler weather. It won’t disappoint.

Flip’s Wine Bar
Ahh Flip’s. An oldie but a goodie. Your classic Italian eatery with a very classic Italian patio. Draped in greenery, surrounded by large patio umbrellas, and lined with decorative brick, this patio is somewhat of a hidden gem.
Because this patio is not covered, I highly recommend it during the cooler months.
And if you do make a trip to Flip’s DON’T YOU DARE sleep on the Italian nachos. They are the best in the city, no lie.
District: Classen Curve
El Coyote
Another newbie in OKC, El Coyote is a New Mexican-style restaurant with (and I’m not making this up) THE BEST FOOD OMG.
I’ve traveled to New Mexico many times and even lived in Arizona for a few years, and when I tell you this is authentic New Mexico/hot desert/middle of nowhere/inspired by thousands of years of cultures melding together, I am not lying to you.
Like I said, I lived in Arizona for three years and when I stepped onto the El Coyote patio, it sent me right back to the desert. 10/10 highly recommend any time of the year, but I’m really excited to go back in the fall.
District: Britton District
Roughtail
One of our classic brewery-meets-taproom-meets-restaurant. Roughtail has some of the best beer in Oklahoma but we’re here to talk about patios. Roughtail’s patio really is an all-purpose patio, with fans for the summer, fire pits and heaters for the winter, and vibes for the other seasons.
They serve burgers and other bar food, always have a delicious selection of seasonal beers (might I suggest a flight), plus they have a ton of board games, TVs to watch “the game”, and their staff is super friendly and will strike up a conversation with you if the other forms of entertainment aren’t your thing.
District: North of Chisholm Creek
Powerhouse
Powerhouse is known for its industrial look, local concerts, and spicy freakin bloody marys. I would call this somewhat of a dive bar, but they honestly have really great food and an extensive drink selection.
Their patio is industrial-meets-desert, with stucco walls, cacti all over, and furniture made from old cable spools. It’s partially covered, so it could be a good time any time of the year, but again, I declare fall as patio season.
District: Farmers Market District
UpDown
Ok, this is a really fun one. If you haven’t been to UpDown, you are seriously missing out. UpDown has locations in a handful of cities, so you may be familiar with it. If you’re not familiar, UpDown is an arcade bar, meaning they have tons of old arcade games, skee ball, Nintendo 64, and other games from the good ole days (the 80s and 90s). Plus of course cocktails, beer, and pizza by the slice.
They have an upstairs and downstairs patio, both incredible. The downstairs patio is smaller but allows you to be closer to the vibrant streets of the Plaza District. The upstairs patio gives you a great view of the city, plus it has a really cute wall for photos.

Barrios
Yes, I have a handful of Mexican restaurants on this list. What can I say, tacos and patios go hand and hand. I don’t make the rules. Barrios is an upscale Mexican restaurant serving amazing food and some of the best margaritas in OKC.
Their patio is seriously one of the best patios in OKC (which, duh, it’s on this list), and because it’s somewhat enclosed and has a fireplace and standing heaters, it is absolute perfection in the fall. The decor is just **chef’s kiss**, with a pink stucco wall surrounding the fireplace, black and white tiles, and modern furniture.
Really, what more could you ask?
